Face burnt, hands and legs tied: Woman in early twenties found murdered in Noida, body stuffed in bag

In a shocker that has surfaced from Noida, a 25-year-old woman's body was found stuffed inside a bag and dumped at a garbage yard in Sector 142.

Media reports said that the hands and legs of the woman were tied and her face had been burned. This was presumably done to conceal her identity after the crime.

Reports said that, looking at the condition of the woman's body, it is almost certain that she was tortured before being killed and efforts were made to destroy any evidence that would lead to the accused being caught.

The body was found on Saturday in Noida's main dumping ground. That area, as is known, is largely empty and sees very little public movement.

The body was found after a few youths who were there to collect garbage saw a black bag dumped at the site. They opened it and found the body, following which, they informed the police. The police and the forensics team then reached the site and started their investigation into the matter.

Initial probe into the matter suggests that the woman was wearing a lower and a t-shirt and her limbs were tied using cloth. However, no external injuries were found during the examination.

Additional DCP Santosh Kumar said that the woman can be anywhere between the age of 22 to 25 and her identity has not been established as of now.

Nearby police stations have been contacted for any missing person reports that might have been filed in the last few days.

Further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the murder and identify the accused in the case.
