With major events set to intensify vehicular movement in the capital, both the Delhi Police and the Supreme Court of India have announced special measures to ease expected congestion next week.

A traffic public advisory has been issued in view of the upcoming AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam from February 16 to 20, alongside the commencement of board examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education starting February 17. Authorities anticipate a sharp rise in road usage across key stretches of the city.

Police officials said extensive arrangements have been coordinated with the Education Department to reduce inconvenience for examinees and daily commuters. Field personnel have been directed to assist candidates travelling with admit cards or date sheets and ensure they reach centres without delay.

Monitoring teams will keep watch on busy corridors, and diversions may be introduced dynamically wherever bottlenecks arise. Commuters have been advised to schedule journeys carefully and allow additional travel time, particularly during rush hours.

Separately, the apex court released a circular dated February 14, 2026, referring to a representation received from the Supreme Court Bar Association.

The notice stated that due to anticipated congestion during the “AI Impact Summit” in the vicinity of the court complex, advocates may “appear through video conferencing” if they face difficulty attending proceedings physically between February 16 and 20.

The circular further clarified that “appearance through video conferencing shall be optional” and that all Benches “shall function in hybrid mode” throughout the specified dates. To enable remote participation, the relevant video links will be shared with Advocates-on-Record.

Together, the measures reflect a coordinated response to overlapping high-footfall events, with authorities focusing on maintaining smooth court functioning while ensuring students and the public face minimal disruption.
