In the past four decades, the Foundation has supported nearly 480 scholars with overseas scholarships, while around 800 others have benefited from various awards and grants both in India and internationally.
Applicants must be born on or after January 1, 1994, and possess a degree from a recognised Indian university. If the degree is from a foreign university, the applicant should have resided in India for at least two years post-graduation. For students in fields like Social Sciences, Humanities, Law, Fine Arts, Architecture, and related areas, a minimum of 65% marks, a CGPA of 6.8/10, or a GPA of 2.6/4 is required.
The Foundation collaborates with several prestigious institutions for joint scholarships, including Imperial College London, Royal College of Art, University of Cambridge (Cambridge Trust), Sciences Po Paris, King’s College London (specifically for PhD students), and Hertie.
The Inlaks Foundation, initiated in 1976 by Indoo Shivdasani, was created to formalise philanthropic efforts and ensure their growth through a dedicated, independent organisation. Recently, it has been renamed the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation.
