TCS launches new AI Experience Zone to 'strengthen AI readiness'

TCS employees can use the platform for use cases such as content creation, information discovery, and task automation.

Indian tech giant Tata Consultancy Services has launched the new AI Experience Zone for experimentation on cutting-edge tools and platforms, the company said in a release on Friday, January 12. The company says they have trained over 150,000 employees in the foundational skills of Generative AI before launching this experiential platform to foster hands-on proficiency in AI and GenAI.

This platform allows TCS employees to explore, engage, and experiment with cutting-edge GenAI-powered applications, creating innovative use cases, with all necessary guardrails while upholding responsible AI principles, the release further stated.

The TCS AI Experience Zone facilitates experimentation with open-source technologies and key large language models from industry giants such as Amazon Web Services, Google, Microsoft, and more. TCS employees can use the platform for use cases such as content creation, information discovery, and task automation.

Through the TCS AI Experience Zone, we are empowering our associates with the ability to harness the transformative potential of GenAI through hands-on experience. A distinct feature of the TCS AI Experience Zone is that it fosters collaboration.

"Associates from different parts of the world with shared interests can come together to build a solution for a specific problem. The experience zone encourages participation in hackathons, challenges, and contests, providing a practical avenue for associates to apply and test their GenAI knowledge.”

TCS has additionally invested in 24 Centers of Excellence (CoE) and 14 innovation labs around the world to develop accelerators, frameworks, and assets across the entire AI adoption lifecycle spanning Advisory, Implementation and Operations to create a cohesive ecosystem of AI capabilities.

World Economic Forum 2024

TCS will participate in next week's World Economic Forum in Davos, which begins on Monday, January 15. The release says the company will bring together global leaders at the event to debate future strategies and innovations in AI, in partnership with leading technology university CMU and the MIT Connection Science ecosystem.
