Aban Offshore touched an intraday high of Rs 583.45 and an intraday low of Rs 564. At 12:01 hrs the share was quoting at Rs 578.60, up Rs 8.90, or 1.56%.
Aban Offshore Limited has informed the Exchange that "the drillship Aban Abraham (owned by our wholly owned step down subsidiary) has commenced operations under a 5 year contract with Petrobras, Brazil, on June 5, 2011".
It was trading with volumes of 180,054 shares. In the previous trading session, the share closed down 0.39% or Rs 2.25 at Rs 569.70.
