Messaging platform Hike Messenger on Friday said it has acqui-hired Bangalore-based technology startup Creo's team of over 50 people.
Creo was founded by Sai Srinivas Kiran G, and Shubham Malhotra in December 2013. Both are also former Hike employees.
"The Creo team will begin work on a developer platform to enable third party developers to build services on the Hike platform," said the spokesperson of Hike.
In the past, they have launched hardware products that include streaming media dongles and smartphones.
Hike Messenger is backed by investors such as Tencent Holdings and Foxconn Technology Group, among others.
