Equity diversified NAVs ended lower with advance:decline ratio of 27:216 as markets ended flat on a tepid note on Monday after a dismal start to the February series last week.

Equity diversified NAVs ended lower with advance:decline ratio of 27:216 as markets ended flat on a tepid note on Monday after a dismal start to the February series last week. The markets were trading in rangebound for most part of the day amid volatility albeit less than previous trading sessions.  
 
The Sensex closed at 18037.19 up 29.04 points or 0.16% and the Nifty ended at 5396 up 0.25 points. About 1140 shares advanced, 1714 shares declined, and 456 shares remain unchanged.


On sectoral front, FMCG funds advance, while pharma, banking and technology funds decline.

 

Long and short term debt funds closed with positive returns; their advance:decline ratio stood at 73:4 & 104:2, respectively.
