Based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the board cleared Naren’s reappointment for the period from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2028, subject to shareholder approval. Naren has been a key figure in shaping the company’s investment philosophy and long-term strategy. Veteran Fund Manager S Naren joined ICICI Prudential AMC in October 2004 and was reappointed as Executive Director and CIO for another two-year term in July 2024.
The board also approved the reappointment of Antony Jacob as an Independent Director for a second term of five years, from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2031, subject to shareholders’ approval.
In addition to the board-level changes, ICICI Prudential AMC announced a senior management transition. Ankur Kagrana has been appointed as Senior Management Personnel and designated as Chief Risk Officer with effect from January 20, 2026. Following this appointment, Sumit Gupta will cease to be a Senior Management Personnel of the company at the close of business hours on January 19, 2026.
The announcements came alongside the company’s December-quarter earnings, which marked its first financial results after the IPO. ICICI Prudential AMC reported a 45 percent year-on-year jump in net profit to ₹917 crore for the third quarter, driven by strong revenue growth and operating leverage. Revenue from operations rose about 23 percent to ₹1,514.7 crore during the quarter.
The board also announced an interim dividend of Rs 14.85 per share, reflecting confidence in the company’s cash flows and profitability following its market debut. Strong inflows and healthy equity market performance helped lift the company’s average assets under management during the quarter, supporting earnings momentum.
