The benchmark Sensex and Nifty indices are expected to open flat to negative on May 28, following GIFT Nifty trends indicating a loss of 14 points for the broader index.
The record run continued on Dalal Street with benchmark indices hitting fresh all-time highs led by buying seen in the realty, banking and Information Technology stocks. However, the last hour selling erased all the day's gains.
At close, the Sensex was down 19.89 points or 0.03 percent at 75,390.50, and the Nifty was down 24.65 points or 0.11 percent at 22,932.45.

The dollar waned on Tuesday following a slight pick up in risk appetite, but it held tight ranges against its peers ahead of key inflation data from major economies this week that markets are looking to for guidance on the global interest rate outlook.
