IGL shares gain on JV for compressed bio gas plant

Indraprastha Gas (IGL) share price gained in the opening trade on December 22 following the company entered into joint venture pact with Hindustan Waste Treatment.

At 09:17am, Indraprastha Gas was quoting at Rs 194.75, up Rs 0.90, or 0.46 percent, on the BSE.

Indraprastha Gas and Hindustan Waste Treatment (HWT) entered in JV for setting up of compressed bio gas plant/biofuel projects.

The equity participation from both the partners in the ratio of 50:50 respectively.

The board of directors of the JV will comprise of initially four directors (two nominated by each party).

In the month of November, the company and CEID Consultants & Engineering entered into a joint venture agreement for setting up of compressed bio gas plant/Biofuel projects, with the ratio of 50:50.

In the previous trading session, the share closed up 1.71 percent or Rs 3.30 at Rs 196.

The share touched a 52-week high of Rs 229.20 and a 52-week low of Rs 172.00 on 09 July, 2025 and 16 April, 2025, respectively.

Currently, the stock is trading 15.42 percent below its 52-week high and 12.7 percent above its 52-week low.

The market capitalisation of the company stands at Rs 27,139.03 crore.
