Consumer goods maker Dabur India said on February 17 that its board has redesignated Mohit Malhotra as global CEO with immediate effect and appointed Herjit Bhalla as CEO for its India business effective April 15, 2026.
Bhalla completed his B. Com (Hons.) from Delhi University in 1997 and MBA from MDI Gurugram in 2000. Between 2000 and 2016, he worked with Unilever in Sales and Marketing areas with increasing responsibilities. During 2009-12, he was appointed as Marketing Director in Moscow, Russia in Unilever.
During 2016-17, Bhalla worked as Chief Operating Officer for Metro Cash & Carry where he was also Director in the Executive Board of Directors. In 2018, he joined The Hershey Company as Managing Director for India. Since then, he has continued with Hershey, taking over global roles since 2021 as VP India & AEMEA, VP Canada and
AMEA and currently as VP Canada & Global Customers.
The FMCG major has recently conducted the ground-breaking ceremony of its Rs 400 crore manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu, the company's first plant in South India.
The factory to come up in Tindivanam in Villupuram district, would manufacture the company's range of toothpastes, including 'Dabur Red,' 'Meswak' besides personal care brands 'Dabur Gulabari', Vatika Hair Oil and Anmol Hair Oil.
The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility would generate direct employment for over 250 people, besides creating thousands of indirect jobs, the company said.
On February 17, Dabur shares closed 0.35% higher at Rs 516 apiece.
