Here are experts equity calls for the day on how the markets are expected to trade:

Bharat Iyer, JPMorgan: Against the backdrop of the recent sharp rally in crude oil prices and the concentration of event risks in March, investors could consider buying Put Options to hedge their long stock positions. We expect the equity markets to be volatile through March and take decisive cues from the outcome of key events like UP elections, Credit Policy and Budget for the year ahead.

Russell Napier, CLSA: The ECB's extended LTRO is not creating liquidity, while US bank-loan growth virtually stopped in November. And as more private savings are coaxed into funding the state, private-sector credit will decline. This is inherently deflationary. There are already signs that the US government's financing needs are squeezing private-sector credit.
