Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd on Thursday reported a 63 percent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 76.5-crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2025, as companies continued to pull back on advertising spending.
The company, which runs channels such as ZeeTV and ZeeCinema, had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 209-crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Advertising revenue remained under pressure in the first half of FY26 at Rs 1564.8 crore, down 14% from Rs 1,813 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Domestic advertising revenue declined due to slowdown in FMCG spending. The company noted that domestic advertising environment continues to be soft; pick-up on account of festive season augurs well for near-term.
On the other hand, subscription revenue grew 2% to Rs 2,004.7 crore from Rs 1,957.1 crore. Increase in subscription revenue was led by both linear and digital.
Its streaming platform Zee 5 reported Rs 310.8 crore revenue, up from Rs 236.3 crore in the same period last financial year. Its losses also reduced by 80%.
Zee Entertainment in its earnings presentation said that it is well on track to achieve profitability in the digital business with losses now reduced to Rs 31.2 crore in Q2FY26 from Rs 158.8 crore in Q2 FY25.
