TVS Motor Company today reported a strong set of earnings for the July-September quarter, posting a 37% year-on-year (y-o-y) rise in standalone net profit at Rs 906 crore, compared to Rs 663 crore in the same period last year.

Revenue from operations grew 29% y-o-y at Rs 11,905 crore during the period under consideration, against Rs 9,228 crore a year ago, driven by robust sales momentum across segments.

Operating performance also improved sharply, with earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rising 40% y-o-y at Rs 1,509 crore in Q2 FY26 from Rs 1,080 crore in Q2 FY25. This was the highest-ever quarterly operating EBITDA for the Apache motorcycle manufacturer.

The EBITDA margin expanded by 100 basis points y-o-y to 12.7% in the quarter ended September 2025 from 11.7% in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

According to TVS, the overall two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales, including international business, grew by 23% y-o-y, registering the highest-ever quarterly volumes of 15.07 lakh units in Q2 FY26 as against 12.28 lakh units in Q2 FY25.

The company's motorcycle sales grew by 20% y-o-y at 6.73 lakh units in the quarter ended September 2025, as against 5.61 lakh units in the quarter ended September 2024. The scooter sales for the July-September quarter climbed by 30% y-o-y at 6.39 lakh units in comparison to 4.90 lakh units sold in the same period last year.

"The two-wheeler sales in international business grew by 31% y-o-y at 3.63 lakh units in the quarter ended September 2025 as against 2.78 lakh units in the quarter ended September 2024," TVS said in a regulatory filing.

"Total three-wheeler sales for the quarter under review grew by 41% y-o-y at 53,000 units as against 38,000 units during the second quarter of FY25," the company added.

TVS continued its robust performance in the electric vehicle (EV) segment with sales growing 7% y-o-y at 80,000 units in Q2 FY26 as against 75,000 units in the same quarter last year. However, the company maintained that magnet availability continues to pose challenges in the short to medium term.

As far as the new product launches are concerned, TVS further strengthened its electric scooter line-up in Q2 FY26 with the introduction of the new Orbiter. The company offers two more electric scooters -- iQube and X.

TVS also launched the new Ntorq 150, a more powerful version of its performance-oriented Ntorq 125 scooter. Besides, the new King Kargo HD electric three-wheeler entered the market during the quarter.
