TVS Motor Company today launched the King Kargo HD electric three-wheeler, priced at Rs 3.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company has rolled out the new model in select markets -- Delhi, NCR (Faridabad, Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad), Rajasthan and Bengaluru -- in the first phase.
The new electric three-wheeler is aimed at urban and semi-urban logistics usage. A CNG variant of the King Kargo HD will be launched towards the end of 2025.
At the heart of the King Kargo HD EV is an 11.2kW/40Nm electric motor drawing power from an 8.9kWh lithium-ion battery. There are three drive modes -- Eco, City and Power. The certified range is 156km on a single full charge.
The King Kargo HD EV can be fully charged (0-100%) in 3 hours and 10 minutes. It can reach a top speed of 60kmph. TVS is offering a warranty of six years or 1,50,000km on the electric three-wheeler.
The King Kargo HD EV gets a 6.6ft load deck, supported by leaf spring suspension. It has an impressive water wading capacity of 500mm with a ground clearance of 235mm, even after having the lowest loading height of 703mm.
Adding to the specifications is a turning radius of 3,420mm and a short braking distance supported by 200mm drum brakes.
TVS claimed that the King Kargo HD EV introduces a host of segment-first features like LED headlamps and tail lamps, twin-axis rear-view mirrors and a dedicated power gear mode. It is also India's first Bluetooth-enabled cargo three-wheeler, equipped with TVS SmartXonnect, offering 26 smart features.
The new electric three-wheeler is powered by TVS Connect Fleet, a web-based platform that allows fleet operators of two and three-wheelers to have complete control and visibility of their operations. It offers 31 features, including real-time tracking, remote asset control, APIs, alerts, reports, reminders, and intelligent dashboards.
