Renault has launched the new Duster 2026 in India at a starting price of Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers who opted for the R Pass booking can avail an introductory price of Rs 10.29 lakh (ex-showroom), with benefits ranging from Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000 depending on the variant. Dispatches of the SUV have commenced nationwide.
The price of the hybrid variants has not been announced yet. The top-spec turbo-petrol variant with the 6-speed DCT gearbox is priced at Rs 18.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Duster is available across five variants -- Authentic, Evolution, Techno, Techno+ and Iconic.

To enable more customers to avail the introductory price benefit, Renault has extended R Pass bookings till March 31. However, the company has closed R Pass bookings for the Duster hybrid after selling out its entire planned production for 2026 at its Chennai plant. The Duster hybrid bookings are expected to reopen before Diwali 2026.

The new Duster, in its third generation, is built on the Renault Group Modular Platform (RGMP) and has been developed with a focus on structural robustness, ride comfort and handling suited for Indian conditions, the company claimed. The SUV measures 4,346mm in length, has a wheelbase of 2,657mm and offers a ground clearance of 212mm.

The SUV comes with multiple powertrain options. There is a 1.0-litre Turbo TCe 100 unit (100PS and 160Nm) paired with a 6-speed manual. The 1.3-litre Turbo TCe 160 (163PS and 280Nm) can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DCT. Both engines are E20 fuel compatible. The Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160 combines a 1.8-litre petrol engine with a 1.4kWh battery pack. Renault claims the system can operate in electric mode for up to 80% of city driving conditions. The combined output is 160PS and 172Nm.

According to Renault, over 90% of turbo-petrol pre-bookings have been for the Turbo TCe 160, while hybrid variants accounted for nearly 40% of bookings in metro markets.

On the feature front, the Duster gets full LED lighting, a panoramic sunroof, electric tailgate, ventilated front seats and dual-zone climate control. The SUV also offers a 10.1-inch OpenR Link infotainment system with Google built-in, along with a 10.25-inch digital driver display on higher variants. The SUV has a driver-focussed cabin with better ergonomics, wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless charging and connected car technology. Safety features include 6 airbags as standard, electronic stability control, hill start assist and up to 17 ADAS features, along with a 360-degree camera and blind spot monitoring on higher trims.
