TVS Motor Company today launched the new Ntorq 150, calling it India's first 'hyper sport scooter'. Priced at Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom) for the entry-level variant, the model expands the Ntorq line-up with a larger 149.7cc engine, upgraded features, and segment-first safety technologies.

The Ntorq 150 is powered by a 149.7cc, air-cooled O3CTech engine, producing 13.2PS at 7,000rpm and 14.2Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. The scooter accelerates from 0-60kmph in 6.3 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 104kmph, making it the fastest in its category.

The new scooter's design takes cues from stealth aircraft, featuring Multipoint projector headlamps, aerodynamic winglets, a naked motorcycle-style handlebar, and a signature 'T' tail lamp. It will be offered in the following two trims.

Standard Ntorq 150 - Stealth Silver, Racing Red and Turbo Blue colours

The higher-spec variant comes with a hi-resolution TFT cluster and TVS SmartXonnect, offering over 50 connected features. These include Alexa and smartwatch integration, live vehicle tracking, turn-by-turn navigation, last parked location, social media alerts, and over-the-air updates.

For rider confidence, the Ntorq 150 introduces ABS and traction control as first-in-segment features. Additional functions include hazard lamps, emergency brake warning, crash and theft alerts, and follow-me headlamps. Comfort features include telescopic suspension, adjustable brake levers, a patented E-Z centre stand, and 22 litres of under-seat storage.

The Ntorq 150 sits above the current Ntorq 125, which has been one of TVS' highest-selling scooters with over 20 lakh units sold. The new 150cc variant will compete against performance-oriented scooters like the Aprilia SR 160 and the Yamaha Aerox 155, while also targeting young buyers who prefer motorcycles in the same price bracket.

The new TVS Ntorq 150 will be available at dealerships nationwide starting this month.
