Glass packaging firm Piramal Glass' consolidated net profit rose 2.45 times year-on-year to Rs 25.77 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2013, helped by forex gain.
Consolidated net sales of the company grew by 11.25 percent to Rs 428.10 crore in the April-June quarter from Rs 384.80 crore during the same period of previous fiscal.
The company earned foreign exchange gain of Rs 22.7 crore for the quarter as against Rs 7.4 crore in a year ago period.
Shares declined 0.54 percent to close at Rs 92.15 amid hefty volumes on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
