Eternal net profit rises 73% to Rs 102 crore in December quarter, revenue up over 200%

The company's revenue from operations jumped 202 percent to Rs 16,315 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal.

Food delivery and quick commerce firm Eternal, which owns the Zomato and Blinkit brands, on Wednesday reported a 73 percent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 102 crore for the third quarter ended December.

The company, which re-branded itself as Eternal in March 2025, had reported a net profit of Rs 59 crore in the October-December quarter of the last fiscal.

The company's revenue from operations jumped 202 percent to Rs 16,315 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal. The same was reported at Rs 5,405 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.  It had reported a revenue of Rs 13,590 crore in the previous quarter.

Total expenses for the Gurugram-based firm increased 198 percent to Rs 16,493 crore in the quarter ended December, up from Rs 5,533 crore a year ago and Rs 13,813 crore a quarter ago.

Zomato ended the quarter with a cash balance of Rs 17,820 crore, down from Rs 18,314 crore in the previous quarter.

Deepinder Goyal, founder and group CEO of Eternal, will be stepping down from his position and Blinkit’s CEO Albinder Dhindsa will take over, the company informed the exchanges on January 21.

Food delivery

Adjusted revenue for its food delivery business increased 27 percent YoY to Rs 3,053 crore in the December quarter, up from Rs 2,413 crore in the year ago period. On a sequential basis, revenue from Rs 2,863 crore a quarter ago.

The net order value (NOV) for this business increased from Rs 9,423 crore in Q2FY26 to Rs 9,846 crore in the December quarter. On a yearly basis, NOV increased from Rs 8,443 crore in Q3FY25.

The average monthly transacting customers (MTCs) for Zomato's food delivery vertical increased to 24.9 million from 24.1 million a quarter ago. The platform had 20.5 million MTCs in the year-ago period.

Blinkit

Zomato’s quick commerce arm Blinkit reported an adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of Rs 4 crore in Q3FY26, up from a loss of Rs 103 crore incurred during the same period last year.

On a sequential basis, however, the adjusted EBITDA loss was lower than Rs 156 crore recorded in Q2FY26.

Blinkit's revenue increased a massive 776 percent YoY to Rs 12,256 crore, up from Rs 1,399 crore in Q2 FY25, on account of the company shifting to an inventory ownership model. It reported a revenue of Rs 9,891 crore in the previous quarter.

Meanwhile, its NOV for the quarter increased 121 percent to Rs 13,300 crore in the December quarter, compared to Rs 6,020 crore in Q3 FY25 and Rs 11,697 crore in the previous quarter.

Blinkit’s net average order value (AOV) increased sequentially at Rs 547 in Q2, from Rs 524 in the previous quarter and was relatively flat versus Rs 546 in the year-ago period.

Its dark store count increased YoY from 1,007 last year to 2,027 in Q3 FY26, and average monthly transacting users reached 23.6 million this quarter from 10.6 million in Q3 FY25.

Going out

Revenue for Zomato’s Going Out business increased 16 percent YoY to Rs 300 crore in Q3 FY26, compared to Rs 259 crore in Q3 FY25, and Rs 189 crore in Q2 FY26.

NOV for the business increased to Rs 2,587 crore in Q3, from Rs 2,063 crore a quarter ago. The company reported an NOV of Rs 2,158 crore a year ago.

Shares of Eternal settled 5 percent higher at Rs 282.80 per share, up 4.9 percent.
