Karnataka's Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, has turned towards a new way of boosting investment. It is learnt that some of Bengaluru's most prominent citizens like Wipro Chairman Azim Premji, Biocon Chairman and Managing Director Kiran Mazumdar Shaw and Infosys founder and current Manipal Group's Chairman Mohandas Pai have been invited to be a part on the Chief Minister's 'Vision Group' which will be advising the government on how to improve the state's infrastructure development and spruce up growth. The others who have also been included in the list are the promoters of power and infrastructure majors GVK and GMR. What's surprising though is the fact that one of the city's most famous citizens, NRN Narayana Murthy has not made it to this list. Also, obvious in its omission is the lack of any representation from the e-commerce and real estate sector, that in the recent past have been the two most prominent growth areas for the state. However, there still are possibilities of the list getting extended in the future, if the state government plans to do so.
