Noodles are widely loved for their great taste, and while they are easily accessible, health-conscious foodies now prefer homemade options. A video on the internet has now surfaced that shows one ‘Jaipur Aunty’ making scrumptious noodles right from scratch, drawing reactions from netizens.

In the video posted by @foodwalebhaiya, a woman from Ashok Nagar, Jaipur, starts preparing noodles by wrapping the dough ingredients in a cloth and beating them on a table. Next, she places the dough in a large steel container and slices it into pieces. She puts it through an extruder to flatten the pieces. The sheets are then dusted with powdered wheat.

The machine is reset, and the flattened sheets are put back in the machine one by one with care. Finally, the sheets come out in the shape of thin noodles, which are then collected on a large plate and steamed. While the dough-to-noodle process is done, the video doesn’t end there.

The woman cooks the noodles, starting by heating oil in a pan. She tosses in vegetables like capsicum, onions, and carrots, and adds noodles along with sauces, masalas, and salt for taste. The mix is given a nice stir before it’s served up on a plate.

The video, captioned “Jaipur’s Viral Aunty Noodles…Aunty’s Cafe Ashok Nagar Jaipur,” got mixed reactions from the internet. While some praised her for making a delectable snack right from scratch and lauded her efforts, others questioned the hygiene of the machine she used.

One user commented, “I wish Aunty would give the machine a good clean before whipping up noodles.” Another wrote, “My OCD is screaming after watching this video.”

Many came to her defence, with one user writing, “This noodle might look a bit dirty but I bet this is way healthier than an instant noodle packet which contains carcinogens and microplastics.” Another shared, “Well, English boys and girls…when we make 4 rotis at home, the flour spreads all over the slab. They are using 3-4 kg flour.”

Some simply praised her, with one saying, “I salute your handwork and hard work.” Another added, “At least she is making her own noodles from scratch.”
