The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final result of the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2025. A total of 458 candidates have been recommended for appointment to various Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ engineering services under the Central government.
The final result is based on the written examination held in August 2025, followed by the Personality Test conducted in October and November. The result PDF has been uploaded on the official UPSC website.
This year, the government notified 554 vacancies through ESE 2025. These included 251 posts in Civil Engineering, 134 in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, 97 in Electrical Engineering, and 72 in Mechanical Engineering. Since only 458 candidates have been recommended, several vacancies remain unfilled after the completion of the selection process.
Civil Engineering Records Highest Selections
Among all disciplines, Civil Engineering recorded the highest number of selections, with 202 candidates recommended. This was followed by Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with 116 selections, Electrical Engineering with 79 selections, and Mechanical Engineering with 61 selections.
Out of the total 458 candidates, 26 belong to the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category. Civil Engineering alone accounted for 15 PwBD candidates across different disability categories.
