August 29, 2025 / 13:26 IST

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is expected to announce the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) CBT-1 result in September 2025. The result will not be released this week, and according to reports, it may take around two to three weeks before it is published.

Once declared, candidates will be able to check their results on the official websites of their respective RRB zones. A direct link to access the results will also be available on the Indian Railways portal at indianrailways.gov.in/railwayboard.

The RRB NTPC CBT-1 examination was held from 5 June to 24 June 2025. More than 1.21 crore candidates had applied for the recruitment process, which aims to fill 11,558 vacancies. Out of these, 8,113 posts are for graduate-level candidates, while 3,445 posts are for undergraduatelevel candidates.

The CBT-1 marks will not be included in the final merit list. Instead, they will be used only for shortlisting candidates for the CBT-2 stage.

Next Steps in the Recruitment Process

Candidates who clear the CBT-1 will appear for CBT-2. After this stage, shortlisted candidates will have to take either a typing skill test or another computer-based examination, depending on the post they have applied for. Following these, the document verification and medical examination process will be conducted before final selection.
