The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released a major recruitment notification for the year 2025. The commission has announced vacancies for a total of 3451 Special Assistant Teacher positions, offering a promising career opportunity for qualified candidates in the field of special education.

Aspiring candidates can submit their applications through the official JSSC portal, jssc.jharkhand.gov.in. The online application window commenced recently and will remain open until January 13, 2026.

  • Intermediate Trained Special Assistant Teacher: 2399 Posts
  • Graduate Trained Special Assistant Teacher: 1052 Posts

Prospective applicants must note that reservation benefits will be applicable solely to domiciled residents of Jharkhand. Candidates from other states are eligible to apply but will be considered under the unreserved (General) category.

Detailed Post-Wise Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must carefully review the following educational qualifications and requirements before applying:

1. For Intermediate Trained Special Assistant Teacher (2399 Posts):

Educational Qualification: Must have passed the 12th standard (Intermediate) with a minimum of 50% marks.

Professional Qualification: Must possess a Diploma in Education (D.Ed.) in Special Education for any category of disability.

Mandatory Requirements: Registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and a valid pass certificate in the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET).

Salary Scale: Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100.

2. For Graduate Trained Special Assistant Teacher (1052 Posts):

Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks.

Professional Qualification: Must hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in Special Education.

Mandatory Requirements: Valid registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and qualification in the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET).

Salary Scale: The pay band for these posts is Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300.

Key Recruitment Details: Age Limit, Fee, and Selection

Age Limit: Applicants must be between 21 and 40 years of age as of August 1, 2025. The Jharkhand government provides age relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per prevailing state rules.

Application Fee:

General/OBC/Other State Candidates: ₹100

SC/ST Candidates (Jharkhand Domicile): ₹50

Persons with Disabilities (PwD): Exempted from fee payment.

Selection Process: The selection of candidates will be based on their performance in a Written Examination conducted by the JSSC.

Steps to apply for JSSC Special Teacher Posts 2025

Follow these instructions to complete your application successfully:

Step 1. Go to the JSSC portal at jssc.jharkhand.gov.in.

Step 2. On the homepage, find and click on the ‘Notices’ section, then select ‘Advertisements’.

Step 3. On the new page, look for the link titled “Brochure of JIGTSEATCCE-2025.” Click to open and download the detailed PDF notification. Read it thoroughly to confirm your eligibility.

Step 4. Return to the homepage. On the left-hand side menu, click on the ‘Application Forms (Apply)’ option.

Step 5. Complete the registration process using a valid mobile number and email ID. Log in with your credentials, fill in the detailed application form, and upload the required documents (photograph, signature, etc.).

Step 6. Proceed to pay the applicable application fee through the provided online modes. Finally, submit the form and download a copy for future reference.

Important Note: Candidates are advised to keep all necessary documents, including educational certificates, D.Ed./B.Ed. (Special Education) marksheets, RCI registration, JTET scorecard, and domicile proof (if applicable), scanned and ready in the prescribed format before starting the application.
