IAF AFCAT 1 Registration Deadline Extended; Apply at afcat.edcil.co.in by Dec 19

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has extended the last date to apply for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 1, 2026. Candidates who have not yet completed the registration can now submit their application forms online till December 19, 2025.

The application process is open on the official AFCAT portals, afcat.edcil.co.in and afcat.cdac.in. Earlier, the registration window had opened on November 17.

AFCAT 1 2026 Exam Details

The AFCAT 1 2026 examination is scheduled to be held on January 31, 2026. The test will be conducted at 104 examination centres across the country. Through this recruitment drive, the Indian Air Force aims to fill 340 vacancies in different branches.

The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is the main selection process for recruiting officers into the Indian Air Force. The AFCAT 01/2026 cycle offers entry into the following branches:

• Flying Branch
• Ground Duty (Technical)
• Ground Duty (Non-Technical)

Candidates selected through AFCAT are commissioned as Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officers in the Indian Air Force.
