the news came before market hours on Friday so the day movement already somewhat priced it. also it was in the making since FM budget speech for life insurance companies so most news and sentiment is priced in from before. you would see government insurance companies like new india assurance or general insurance popping on Friday because fdi participation was very low there so they now have the option to scale up. in fact there is a dampener that composite insurance licence is not part of the approval so it is just fdi increase in incumbent insurance segments of a company.
