The Reserve Bank of India has approved Bain Capital’s acquisition of joint control of Manappuram Finance and its subsidiaries.

With this, the company and its subsidiaries have now received all requisite statutory approvals for Bain Capital’s proposed investment of approximately Rs 4,385 crore and the acquisition of joint control alongside existing promoters, along with the consequent open offer.

Nazara Technologies

The company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Nazara Technologies UK, has signed definitive agreements to acquire a 50% controlling stake in social gaming platforms Bluetile Games SL and BestPlay Systems SL for $100.3 million (Rs 918 crore).

G R Infraprojects

The company has emerged as the L1 bidder for a project worth Rs 2,440.87 crore from the National Highways Authority of India. The project involves the construction of a four-lane greenfield section of NH-33 from Mokama to Munger in Bihar under the Hybrid Annuity Mode.

Belrise Industries

The company’s subsidiary, Belrise UK Holdings, has signed a definitive share purchase agreement to acquire a 100% stake in Chester Hall Precision Engineering Holdings, a UK-based precision engineering group serving the global aerospace, space, and defence sectors.

Puravankara

The company’s subsidiary, Purva Oak Private Limited, has received a registration certificate from the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) for launching Tower D in its existing project, Purva Panorama.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders

The company has entered into a contract with the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) for the construction and sale of one 3,000 DWT methanol dual-fuel platform supply vessel (PSV). The contract value is approximately $39 million.

Natco Pharma

Ace investor Ashish Kacholia has sold 3.55 percent stake in Cosmic CRF, the manufacturer of cold rolled formed steel sections for railway and industrial applications, and almost exited BEW Engineering, the pharmaceutical filter dryer maker, via open market transactions on March 18. Suryavanshi Commotrade was the buyer in both transactions.

Cosmic CRF shares were locked in 10 percent upper circuit at Rs 693.45 amid high volumes, after significant correction in the past five consecutive sessions, however, BEW Engineering shares fell 0.48 percent to Rs 83.5, the lowest closing level since November 2021, on the National Stock Exchange.

Suryavanshi Commotrade has acquired 3.26 lakh shares (equivalent to 3.55 percent of paid-up equity) in Cosmic CRF from Ashish Ramesh Kacholia at Rs 650.24 per share, valued at Rs 21.2 crore.

The shareholding pattern of Cosmic CRF for December 2025 quarter was not available on the exchange, but as per September 2025, Ashish Kacholia was holding 3.09 lakh shares (3.37 percent stake) in the company.

Suryavanshi Commotrade also acquired 6.33 lakh shares (4.8 percent stake) in BEW Engineering from Ashish Kacholia at Rs 84.66 per share, amounting to Rs 5.36 crore. BEW Engineering also reported shareholding pattern till September 2025.

Meanwhile, Electrosteel Castings was also in focus, rising 6.23 percent to Rs 72.78 on the NSE. Electrosteel Thermal Coal has acquired 2.05 crore shares (3.31 percent) in the company that makes ductile iron pipes, and iron fittings, from India Opportunities Growth Fund Ltd - Pinewood Strategy for Rs 143.5 crore. The transaction price was Rs 70 per share.

India Opportunities Growth Fund was holding 3.49 percent stake in Electrosteel Castings as of December 2025.

The brisk action was also seen in Shankara Building Products, the building materials supplier, which shares rose 4.34 percent to Rs 109.9 on the NSE. The Ballygunge Family Trust has picked up 2.04 lakh shares (0.84 percent stake) in the company at Rs 109.51 per share for Rs 2.24 crore, however, ACE Infracity Developers sold 2 lakh shares (0.82 percent stake) at Rs 109.5 per share, valued at Rs 2.19 crore.

Yatra Online shares also saw buying interest after hitting more than seven-month low in the past sessions, rising 6.82 percent to Rs 106.65 on the NSE. Belgrave Investment Fund has acquired 16.89 lakh shares (1.07 percent stake) at Rs 105.02 per share for Rs 17.7 crore, however, ITI Holdings and Investment sold 15 lakh shares (0.95 percent stake) at Rs 105.11 per share, amounting to Rs 15.76 crore.

Filatex Fashions remained in action in current month, closing flat at Rs 0.17 for another session on the National Stock Exchange. Promoter Prabhat Sethia has been selling shareholder in the company, offloading further 4.69 crore shares (0.56 percent stake) in the textile company at Rs 0.17 per share, valued at Rs 79.77 lakh.

Prabhat Sethia, in total, sold 2.85 percent stake in Filatex Fashions in current month so far.

Ashish Kacholia sells 3.55% stake in Cosmic CRF, almost exits BEW Engineering

Urban Company shares hit the 20 percent upper circuit intraday on Wednesday after SBI Mutual Fund bought a stake worth Rs 632 crore in the company.

The stock rose 20 percent to an intraday high of Rs 131.44 per share on the NSE. It had opened 2.78 percent higher.

SBI Mutual Fund purchased shares worth Rs 632.21 crore across exchanges. The transactions came on the day the mandatory lock-in period for pre-IPO shares ended.

On Tuesday, DF International Partners II, ABG Capital and Wellington Hadley Harbor Aiv Master Investors (Cayman) III sold shares worth Rs 734.4 crore through block deals on the BSE and NSE.

On the NSE, DF International Partners II and ABG Capital sold shares worth Rs 385.16 crore, while Wellington Hadley Harbor Aiv Master Investors (Cayman) III offloaded shares worth Rs 349.23 crore on the BSE.

Urban Company shares had settled 64 percent above the issue price at Rs 169 per share on the NSE on listing day on September 17, 2025.

The stock had debuted at over 57 percent premium to its IPO price after the issue was subscribed 103.63 times during September 10–12.

Urban Company shares hit 20% upper circuit intraday as SBI MF buys stake worth Rs 632 crore

Hexaware Technologies shares rose more than 5 percent on Wednesday following the launch of its enterprise AI agent platform.

The stock climbed 5.6 percent to an intraday high of Rs 429.8 per share on the NSE. It opened higher by 4.42 percent in the session.

The gain came after the company informed exchanges about the launch of ‘Agentverse’, an enterprise AI agent platform with over 600 ready-to-deploy AI agents aimed at helping organisations operationalise agent-based AI across business and technology functions.

&quot;As enterprises increasingly explore generative and agentic AI, many remain stuck in pilot stages without a clear path to scaled deployment. Agentverse addresses this challenge by providing a governed platform that orchestrates multiple AI agents across enterprise systems, workflows, and communication channels, enabling organizations to move from experimentation to production,&quot; the company said in a release.

&quot;Agentverse is how we take autonomy into day-to-day operations. Clients can move beyond pilots to measurable results in cycle time, accuracy, and customer satisfaction,&quot; said R Srikrishna, CEO and Executive Director, Hexaware.

The company said the platform integrates with core enterprise systems, including CRM platforms, IT service management tools, knowledge repositories, data platforms, telephony systems and collaboration applications.

It added that the platform enables AI agents to retrieve contextual knowledge, interpret process documentation, automate conversations and execute operational actions within enterprise workflows.

Nomura kept its buy rating on Indian Hotels Company Ltd, lowered the target price to Rs 800, and trimmed FY27-28 earnings estimates by 3% due to geopolitical tensions. Despite recent share decline, it expects moderate growth and strong luxury segment demand.

Brokerage firm Nomura has maintained its buy rating on Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) while lowering its target price to Rs 800 from Rs 830, implying an upside of 28.6 percent from the current market price. The brokerage has also trimmed its FY27 and FY28 earnings estimates by 3 percent each, citing volatility arising from geopolitical tensions, particularly the Middle East conflict.

IHCL’s share price has declined 21 percent over the past six months, underperforming the Nifty 50, which fell 8 percent during the same period. Nomura said the correction reflects heightened uncertainty, though it expects limited impact on near-term performance. For the fourth quarter of FY26, the brokerage estimates EBITDA growth of 11 percent year-on-year, lower than its earlier estimate of 13 percent and about 3 percent below consensus.

Management indicated that bookings in January and February remained strong, supported by events such as the ICC World Cup in Mumbai and an AI summit in Delhi. While some cancellations were observed in March, the overall impact on the quarter is expected to be limited. For the standalone business, Nomura expects average daily rate growth of 4 percent quarter-on-quarter and 8 percent year-on-year in the fourth quarter, with flat occupancy leading to mid- to high single-digit growth in revenue per available room.

Nomura noted that IHCL’s management fee income could see some impact due to its exposure to three hotels in Dubai under management contracts. However, with around 200 hotels under management contracts, the brokerage expects moderate growth in management fees compared with earlier high-teen expectations. It estimates consolidated revenue and EBITDA growth of 11 percent and 12 percent year-on-year, respectively, for the fourth quarter, with revenue, EBITDA and net profit projections falling 2 percent, 3 percent and 7 percent below consensus.

Assuming conditions stabilise over the next two to three months, Nomura expects EBITDA to grow at a compound annual rate of 13 percent to 14 percent over FY26 to FY28, slightly lower than its earlier estimate of 14 percent to 15 percent. The brokerage has also reduced its FY27 revenue per available room growth estimate to 7 percent from 8 percent, factoring in geopolitical disruptions.

However, it expects some offset from a low base in FY27 due to disruptions in FY26. Additional growth drivers include new acquisitions contributing around 200 to 300 basis points to revenue and incremental room additions in properties such as Taj Frankfurt, Varanasi and Ekta Nagar. Management fee income is expected to grow in the mid- to high teens, supported by new unit additions.

Nomura maintained its FY28 revenue per available room growth estimate at 9 percent, citing continued strength in the luxury segment and corporate travel demand, with operating leverage and higher management fee contribution expected to support margins over the medium term.
