Kim Kardashian reveals her workout routine and admits to checking her phone throughout training

Kim Kardashian recently shared her fitness secrets, including her love for weightlifting and Pilates. She also revealed the workouts that don’t work for her and how she has taken to layering pieces to style her gym look.

Kim Kardashian, who is known to be a fitness enthusiast, revealed everything about her workout routine to Vogue magazine. The successful reality star and entrepreneur, who is now extending her brand Skims into the athletic space, opened up about the types of exercises she incorporates into her routine and which ones she totally skips. Considering the fashionista that she is, she also revealed how she likes to style herself while working out.

Weightlifting is her jam

Kim, 44, confessed to being a “big weightlifter,” but added she has had to make modifications to her workouts due to her back issues. She said, “I have to do lower body in order to stay toned. I do a few days of upper body. I usually pick a body part, and we stick to that for the day. I do an hour and a half a day, with weights and stretching, and a little bit of cardio.”

Pilates lover

It’s not just weightlifting; Kim also added that she loves Pilates. This works as a good variation, too. She said, “I love Pilates, so I will incorporate that, and I love wearing our Pilates leggings. I find when I don’t incorporate Pilates at least once a week, I can feel it in my back. I definitely need that lengthening and stretching.”

Workout routine: morning or evening?

Kim shared she likes sneaking in her workout in the morning and likes to play music while getting it done. She also jokingly admitted, “I am the kind of annoying workout person where I check my phone throughout the workout, though, and respond to people. I’m sure that really frustrates my trainer.”

Kim on workouts that are not for her

The reality star shared that dancing workouts are not for her, and neither is hot yoga. She added that she once fell asleep while doing hot yoga, blaming it on the “mood” when you lay down and close your eyes. Adding further, she said she can fall asleep anywhere easily.

Workout style

Kim shared she has transitioned from wearing leggings and a sports bra to layering tops for a more fashionable look. She is experimenting a lot with long-sleeved tops and hoodies over her bras, and mixing various pieces from her wardrobe to feel good when she works out.
