When Vicky Kaushal was once asked by wife Katrina Kaif to change his outfit and wear 'simple clothes': 'Kya joker banke jaraha hai yeh?'

The Chhaava actor shared that one of the biggest takeaways from working with her was witnessing her intense commitment.

Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are one of the most adored couples in the B-town, often giving us major couple goals. They have often admired each other in public and Vicky has always talked about his wife's discipline and her sharp eye for fashion. On Vicky's birthday today, May 16, it is the perfect moment to revisit one such time when Vicky recalled that one time when Katrina didn't let him step out of their house and made him change his outfits.

During a podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia last year, Vicky shared an anecdote when Katrina once stopped him from going out because of his outfit.

"She was like, ‘Kya joker banke jaraha hai yeh?’ She literally held my hand and pulled me back in the house saying, ‘You are not stepping out of the house wearing this’. I asked her what’s wrong with this and she said, ‘Sab kuch’ (everything). She asked me to wear simple clothes. I was wearing simple clothes only!” he recalled.

He further spoke about her dedication to her work, especially when she prepares of for an action sequence or a dance number. The Chhaava actor shared that one of the biggest takeaways from working with her was witnessing her intense commitment. He noted that she transforms completely in the lead-up to a big scene—especially songs or action sequences—adopting a rigorous routine month in advance. Her discipline, he said, is unmatched, with her entire lifestyle shifting in preparation.

Vicky further said, "Till date, that’s what stimulates her. She is super unemotional about it, the attitude of you gotta do what you gotta do. I have really liked that, it helps me sometimes as a reminder. You need to work hard if you really want the reward for that.”

For those unaware, Vicky and Katrina tied the knot on December 9, 2021 at Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan in an intimate wedding ceremony. Although the exact details of their dating history are not known, as per reports, the couple dating in secrecy for quite some time before getting married.

On the work front, Vicky Kaushal created a buzz at the box office after his latest film Chhaava performed phenomenally, earning over Rs 800 crore worldwide and Rs 600 in India alone.
