The much-loved comedy talk show The Great Indian Kapil Show, hosted by Kapil Sharma, recently brought back its iconic charm with a familiar face — Navjot Singh Sidhu — returning as the permanent guest. However, in a surprising twist, Sidhu is missing from the latest promo of the show’s upcoming episode, sparking curiosity among fans.
The promo, released ahead of the second episode of Season 3, teases a star-studded guest list featuring the ensemble cast of Metro In Dino.
The film’s lead actors, including Konkona Sen Sharma, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, and veteran Anupam Kher, along with director Anurag Basu, are seen having a fun-filled time on the show.
The teaser begins with light-hearted banter and dance sequences, eventually cutting to Kapil Sharma’s signature observational humor. Referring to Aditya Roy Kapur’s past co-stars, Kapil quips, “In Fitoor, Aditya worked with Katrina, and she got married. In Sadak 2, he worked with Alia, and she got married. So, Sara… maybe,” implying Sara Ali Khan might also tie the knot after working with Aditya.
Fatima Sana Shaikh is also seen promoting her upcoming Netflix film with R Madhavan, cleverly replying to Kapil’s question about her ideal boyfriend with, “Aap Jaisa Koi (Someone Like You).”
Pankaj Tripathi wins hearts with his honest confession, “I have only ever romanced one woman in my life. She’s now my wife,” which earns applause from the audience — and a cheerful reaction from Archana Puran Singh.

However, fans were quick to notice the empty seat beside Archana, traditionally reserved for Navjot Singh Sidhu, raising speculation about his absence. Though the reasons are unclear, the vacant chair left a noticeable void in the promo.
The episode also features show regulars Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, and the ever-entertaining Sunil Grover engaging in a hilarious musical chairs segment.
The new episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3 will premiere this Saturday at 8 PM on Netflix, promising laughter, celebrity gossip, and a dash of mystery with Sidhu’s missing presence.
