The Great Indian Kapil Show welcomed business icons Narayana Murthy, Sudha Murty, Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal, and his wife, Grecia Munoz in the latest episode. Known for his witty humour, Kapil couldn't resist teasing his guests, especially about Grecia's love for Indian cuisine.
Kapil began by asking Deepinder how he met Grecia, who hails from Mexico. Deepinder shared, “I was single for the longest time. My friends used to set me up on dates and advised me not to settle down. When Grecia first came to Delhi, my friend called me and said, ‘There’s a girl here you should meet.’ I agreed, and he told me, ‘Make sure to meet her; you’ll end up marrying her.’ It was his foresight. He had always told me not to get serious, but this time he said, ‘You have to marry if you find a girl like her.’ I was intrigued to meet her...”
Kapil then turned to Grecia and asked if she enjoyed Punjabi food. Gia responded enthusiastically, saying she loved Indian food because of its variety. Archana Puran Singh asked her about her favourite dish, to which Grecia replied, "Chole Bhature."
This prompted Sudha Murty, who had earlier referred to chole bhature as unhealthy, to laugh along with the audience. Kapil quickly jumped in, saying, “See, she came all the way from Mexico and loves chole bhature.” Sudha Murty responded humorously, “Despite eating chole bhature, she’s still slim!” This had everyone on set in splits.
Kapil, curious about Grecia's first experience with cooking after marriage, asked if she had ever prepared her first rasoi (the first meal cooked by a bride). Deepinder quickly interjected, saying, “Cooking is banned at our home. We always order.”
In another fun revelation, Deepinder shared that sometimes his romantic messages to Grecia serve as inspiration for the app’s notifications. He humorously added, “I give full credit to our marketing team, who took my idea of ‘building a relationship with the customer’ a bit too seriously!”
