In a recent interview, actress Taapsee Pannu revealed that she tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend, badminton player Mathias Boe, in 2023, clearing up any confusion about their wedding date. She added that they had kept the details private, wanting to focus on their personal lives without public attention.
During an interview with Agenda Aaj Tak 2024, Taapsee Pannu shared that she and her long-time partner, Mathias Boe, had a private court marriage in December 2023. She also spoke about their intimate wedding ceremony that took place in Udaipur, Rajasthan, in March 2024, explaining that they chose a low-key celebration to maintain privacy while still cherishing the moment with close friends and family.
Taapsee mentioned, "People were unaware of my wedding this year as we didn't make a formal announcement. In fact, we got married last year in December. Our wedding anniversary is coming soon. We simply signed the papers then. If I hadn't mentioned it today, no one would have known."
The Blurr actor also said, "We wanted to maintain a clear distinction between our personal and professional lives. I've observed that excessive exposure of personal life in professional life can negatively impact both spheres. The successes and failures of one's career often spill over into personal life, causing unnecessary stress. I've always strived to maintain a balance between the two."
Taapsee Pannu married Mathias Boe in a traditional ceremony on March 23, with only their close family and friends in attendance. The wedding saw notable guests, including Anurag Kashyap, Kanika Dhillon, and Pavail Gulati. Taapsee and Mathias had been in a relationship for nearly ten years, and she has frequently shared glimpses of their bond in interviews and on social media.

In a recent chat with comedian Raunaq Rajani, Taapsee Pannu reminisced about her first date with Mathias Boe and said, "He proposed to me, saying, ‘I would like to take you on a date either in Denmark or Dubai because these are the two places I know very well to plan things’. I was like, ‘Who will go all the way to Denmark? Who will go through the trouble of getting a Schengen visa.’ It is so difficult. So we decided Dubai."
Mathias, a former badminton player, served as the coach for Indian men's doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty at the Paris Olympics.
On the work front, Taapsee Pannu was last seen in Khel Khel Mein (2024), a comedy-drama directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film features Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal. Taapsee has not yet revealed details about her upcoming projects.
