Stray Kids member Lee Know has been at the centre of concern after sustaining an ankle injury during the 2025 MAMA Awards performance on November 29 at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium. The incident, which initially went unnoticed during the high-energy stage, became a major talking point once JYP Entertainment confirmed that the singer had been treated for an ankle sprain immediately after the group’s set.
According to the agency, Lee Know began experiencing acute pain after hurrying down a flight of stairs between stage segments. Fan-captured videos from the event later showed him limping backstage, wincing, and visibly struggling to support his weight. Despite the discomfort, he continued with the scheduled appearances and stood onstage with the group as Stray Kids collected the award for MAMA’s Album of the Year.
People don’t grasp the magnitude of what Lee Know did at the MAMA Awards 2025. The seriousness of the injury became clearer once the group returned to Korea on November 30. Airport footage showed Lee Know being assisted in a wheelchair while fellow member Felix stood beside him, even fixing his hair as they moved through the arrival hall. The moment circulated widely on social media, prompting an outpouring of concern from fans who noted the contrast between his determination onstage and his condition off it.
JYP Entertainment stated that doctors had diagnosed an ankle sprain and recommended full rest along with continued monitoring. The agency added that the idol had been taken directly to a hospital for detailed checkups after landing in Seoul, and that all future schedules would be adjusted based on medical advice
Online reaction to the incident has been swift, with many praising the singer’s professionalism. One fan wrote on X, “Falling like that, twisting his ankle, and still having the strength to get back on stage… Lee Know is really something else.” Another comment that gained traction said, “The way he was wincing made it clear the pain was new. I just hope he can rest well and recover before the next event.”
The incident has also renewed debate about the physical toll of large-scale award performances, where complex choreography, rapid set changes, and tight backstage movement often increase the risk of injury. Stray Kids’ MAMA stage was one of the night’s most demanding acts, featuring quick transitions and intense choreographic sequences.
