Actress and model Jung Ho Yeon and K-drama star Lee Dong Hwi have reportedly ended their nine-year-long romantic relationship. On Tuesday, November 26, South Korean media reported the popular couple's breakup.
As per report by Soompi, their respective talent agencies later confirmed the news through official statements. According to the announcements, Jung and Lee have chosen to part ways amicably, maintaining a cordial relationship as colleagues, friends, and fellow industry professionals.
The actors reportedly began dating in 2015 and made their relationship public in 2016. However, the reason for their break up is not known yet.
As soon as the reports of their breakup went on social media, fans expressed their shock and disbelief. A netizen wrote, "@nimujoon I don’t believe in love anymore. First hyeri now hoyeon." Another fan tweeted, "I saw this somewhere and I was like naa I need to see Soompi post it first. and god dammit it’s the first thing I see opening twitter. Imma lose it if I see this tittle with Kim woobin and shin Mina. 9yrs strong is no joke. Best wishes to both, it’s sad but they know better."

Lee Dong Hwi, best known for his breakthrough role in the popular Korean drama Reply 1988, was last seen in Chief Detective 1958 alongside Lee Je Hoon. After gaining acclaim for his supporting roles in several box-office hits, he starred in Extreme Job, the second-highest-grossing South Korean film of all time. Currently, Lee is preparing for his next project, the tvN variety series Living in a Rented Room in Finland.
Hoyeon made her acting debut in 2021 with a standout performance in the Netflix sensation Squid Game. The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award winner recently gained Hollywood recognition through the Apple TV+ psychological thriller Disclaimer, where she starred as JiSoo, the assistant to Cate Blanchett's character. Before her acting career, Hoyeon competed in the fourth season of Korea's Next Top Model in 2013, finishing as the runner-up.
