The horror-comedy sequel achieved an impressive first-day collection of Rs 55.40 cr, surpassing major blockbusters of the year and making history.

The film's opening day performance eclipsed that of previous high-grossing films like SRK's Pathaan, which earned Rs 55 crores, Animal with Rs 54.75 crores, KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi version) at Rs 53.95 crores, War with Rs 51.60 crores, and Thugs of Hindostan at Rs 50.75 crores.

Stree 2 earned Rs 9.40 cr from paid previews held on Wednesday and on opening day i.e Thursday it collected Rs 55.40 cr making it a grand total of Rs 64.80 cr. in India.

Stree 2’s extraordinary debut marks a groundbreaking achievement for the horror-comedy genre and sets a new precedent for future releases.

Renowned critic Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures, Stree 2 not only broke records but also outperformed its predecessor, Stree, which had earned Rs 60.39 crore in its first week.

Remarkably, Stree 2 surpassed this figure on its opening day alone by including the Rs 9.40 crores earned from Wednesday previews. The film's total opening collection, including previews, stands at an impressive Rs 64.80 crores.

Despite competing with other notable releases such as Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa, Stree 2 has demonstrated strong performance in both urban centers and mass pockets, highlighting its widespread appeal.
