Shah Rukh Khan's study in Mannat features awards and a rare Batman figurine, reveals RJ J Man

Shah Rukh Khan's legendary wit and graciousness have made him a beloved figure in the film industry, with countless stories from those who have had the privilege of meeting him or visiting his iconic home, Mannat. RJ J Man recently shared his own memorable experience on the "Inside the Mind with Rushabh" podcast, where he painted a vivid picture of Shah Rukh Khan's aura and the breathtaking interior of Mannat.

Recalling his visit, RJ J Man described the journey through Mannat’s back entrance, leading up a staircase to Shah Rukh's study. "The stairs are dark, wooden, with glass on one side," he said, adding that the path leads to a dark brown door with a silver handle. Behind it lies a room filled with Shah Rukh Khan's numerous awards proudly displayed in a showcase. "There was a white curtain, and standing there in jeans, a t-shirt, and holding a black coffee, was Shah Rukh Khan himself," RJ J Man recalled. "He turned around and greeted us with a simple, ‘Hey guys,’ and I was just awestruck by how much of a star he was, even at home."

Shah Rukh Khan, ever the gracious host, asked if they had eaten before getting down to business. During their conversation, RJ J Man shared a fascinating story that Shah Rukh Khan recounted about his early days in the industry. Shah Rukh Khan revealed that he once made the mistake of asking a well-known director for a script, which offended the filmmaker. His mentor, Aziz Mishra, advised him that it was inappropriate to ask for a script, leading Shah Rukh Khan to call the director to apologize. When the director asked, "So, you’re doing my film?" Shah Rukh responded, "I called to apologize, but I’m still not doing your film."

RJ J Man also noticed a rare Batman figurine casually lying around Shah Rukh Khan's study, which delighted him as a fellow Batman fan. The interaction left a lasting impression on him, so much so that he kept one of Shah Rukh Khan’s cigarettes as a memento from that unforgettable encounter.
