Shah Rukh Khan to move out of Mannat

Shah Rukh Khan's iconic Mumbai home, Mannat, has long been a famous landmark in the city, attracting countless fans eager to catch a glimpse of the Bollywood megastar. However, as the monsoon season approaches, SRK and his family are preparing to temporarily relocate, as Mannat will undergo maintenance.

Reports suggest that the temporary residence they have chosen is considerably smaller than their current home, and it appears the family will have new neighbours, including the Bhagnani family.

Last month, Pinkvilla revealed that Shah Rukh Khan had signed leases for two luxury apartments in Mumbai from the Bhagnani family. These apartments will serve as their home during the renovation of Mannat.

According to property registration documents accessed by Zapkey.com, one of the leased apartments spans over 6,000 sq ft, while the other covers 4,500 sq ft. Together, the two duplex apartments in the Puja Casa building, located in the upmarket Pali Hill area of Khar, total 10,500 sq ft. This is less than half the size of Mannat, which measures a sprawling 27,000 sq ft.

SRK has leased the first apartment from actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani and his sister Deepshikha Deshmukh, with a monthly rent of Rs 11.54 lakh. The second duplex, leased from their father, film producer Vashu Bhagnani, comes at a higher monthly rent of Rs 12.61 lakh.

The leases are for a period of 36 months, beginning from April 1, 2025. These temporary homes are located just 3 km away from Mannat, which will help keep the family within their familiar vicinity during the renovation process.

For the first time in over 20 years, SRK and his family will have neighbours, as the two duplexes occupy the first, second, seventh, and eighth floors of the Puja Casa building. This building is co-owned by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh, and is named after Vashu’s wife, Pooja Bhagnani.

Other residents of the building include Jackky, Deepshikha, and actress Rakul Preet Singh, as well as Vashu and Pooja Bhagnani. This means that for the next few years, Shah Rukh Khan and his family will have the Bhagnani family as their next-door neighbours.

The Pali Hill area, known for its concentration of Bollywood stars, is also home to several other prominent figures, including actors Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, and Aamir Khan.

Shah Rukh’s temporary home will be situated in close proximity to these renowned figures, making it a part of the city’s celebrity enclave. In addition, the residence of the legendary Dilip Kumar is located directly across from SRK’s new temporary home, further cementing the area’s status as a hub for the film industry’s elite.

Reports from Hindustan Times indicate that Shah Rukh Khan’s team is taking extra precautions to ensure the safety and privacy of the actor and his family during their stay in the Puja Casa building.

Despite the move to a new location, the family is committed to maintaining their privacy and security while they await the completion of the renovation work at Mannat.
