Salman Khan’s trusted bodyguard Shera is mourning the loss of his father, Sunder Singh Jolly, who passed away today at the age of 88. He had been fighting cancer for some time. His cremation will be held at the Oshiwara Crematorium in Jogeshwari West, Mumbai.
Shera, whose real name is Gurmeet Singh Jolly, shared a heartfelt message confirming the news. In an official statement, he wrote, “My father Shri Sunder Singh Jolly has left for his heavenly abode today.” He also mentioned that the final journey will begin at 4 PM from his residence at The Park Luxury Residences in Andheri West, Mumbai.
Just a few months ago, Shera had celebrated his father’s 88th birthday. He posted pictures and wrote a loving message, calling his father his “hero.” In the caption, he wrote, “Happy 88th birthday to the strongest man, my God, my father, my inspiration! Every bit of strength in me comes from you. Love you dad always!” The post included happy moments of Shera with his father and family.

Shera has been by Salman Khan's side as his personal bodyguard and head of security since 1995. He is a well-known figure in the film industry and runs his own security agency called Tiger Security. His company has provided protection to many celebrities over the years. Notably, he was in charge of Canadian pop star Justin Bieber’s security during his concert in Mumbai in 2017.
Before becoming a bodyguard, Shera was a passionate bodybuilder. He won the Mumbai Junior title in 1987 and was the runner-up for Mr. Maharashtra Junior in 1988. He entered the security profession in the early 1990s and started working with Salman Khan shortly after.
