Bigg Boss 19 is touted to launch by the end of August, and there are a lot of names from the TV world to influencers who have been approached to be a part of the show. Along with the names of the probable contestants making the headlines, Salman Khan, the host's hefty pay cheque is also making the rounds.
Over the years reportedly, the charges of the host are speculated to grow and according to media reports, this year Salman Khan will be paid a whopping Rs. 300 crore.
For Bigg Boss 18, it was rumoured that Salman charged around Rs 60 crores per month which made him one of television's highest paid hosts in India.
Bigg Boss 17 witnessed popular contestants such as Ankita Lokhande, Neil Bhatt, Munawar Faruqui among others. According to a report in Times Of India, rumours were ripe that he had a hefty pay check of Rs 12 crore per weekend or Rs. 6 crores per episode.
In Bigg Boss 16, Salman made headlines for his Bigg Boss payment which suggested that he charged Rs 1000 crores for the entire season. But Salman did address these reports and said that this was not true.
The publication quoted him as, “All those reports about my fees are false. If I ever earn Rs 1000 crores, I'd retire immediately. However, I hope to reach that point one day. Even if I did, I have many expenses, like lawyers, who are as costly as Salman Khan himself. My actual earnings aren’t even a quarter of that figure. These reports are also scrutinized by the income tax and ED departments.”
Speaking about Bigg Boss 15, there was news buzzing that he charged Rs 350 crore for the entire season which was apparently Rs 25 crore per weekend.
As for Bigg Boss 14, the outlet suggested that he charged Rs 20 crore per weekend.
Bigg Boss 13 was a massive hit and it is renowned as the Shehnaaz Gill and late Siddharth Shukla season. Times Of India reported that apparently Salman Khan was paid Rs 15 crores per episode.
