The makers of upcoming action drama Bhogi chose a special way to celebrate actor Sharwanand’s birthday — by unveiling a powerful new poster and revealing fresh details about his character in the film.
In the much-anticipated action thriller, Sharwanand will be seen playing Ganga, a role that promises intensity and grit.
Production house Sri Sathya Sai Arts shared the poster on its social media handles, offering fans a glimpse of Sharwanand’s striking transformation.
The announcement read, “Meet Ganga – a storm born in silence, a rage waiting to erupt. The world will soon witness his fury in #Bhogi. Team #Bhogi wishes Charming Star @ImSharwanand a very Happy Birthday. A #SharwaSampathBloodFest. In Cinemas from August 28, 2026."
In the newly released image, Sharwanand appears almost unrecognisable. With thick, tousled hair, a heavy beard and an intense stare, he embodies a raw and rebellious persona. A beedi rests between his fingers, reinforcing the earthy, rugged tone of the character.
His sweat-drenched look and hardened expression suggest a man shaped by struggle — someone carrying quiet anger beneath the surface.
Sources close to the team say the shoot is progressing at a steady pace. The film, carrying the bold tagline “A Blood Fest”, is set against the rugged terrain along the North Telangana–Maharashtra border during the late 1960s.
Director Sampath Nandi is said to be recreating the era with careful detail, aiming to ground the story in a period marked by tension and turmoil.
Currently, the cast and crew are filming in Hyderabad, where an expansive set has been erected for the project. A major action sequence is being shot, adding to the mounting excitement around the film.
