South Indian film star Samantha Ruth Prabhu has candidly shared how she deals with social media negativity, revealing a firm but composed approach to handling online trolls. During an Instagram Q&A session, the Maa Inti Bangaram actress addressed fan questions about how she reacts to positive and negative comments, explaining that while praise doesn’t affect her, she draws a clear line when it comes to negativity.
A fan asked Samantha, ‘How do you feel reading comments on social media that might be positive or negative?’ In response, Samantha posted in the response, “Praise doesn't move me. Trolls don't either. But if you bring negativity into my home, I will block you. The same way I keep my space clean, I keep this page clean. Being blocked doesn't mean you affected me. It just means you're not welcome here.”
Samantha also spoke about her struggles with the “FOMO” (fear of missing out) that social media can create, especially with Reels and short-form content dominating feeds. Samantha responded, “This is something I am scared of. I was telling Raj [Nidimoru] that when I was a child, I could set a timetable to study and just follow it, no distractions. I don't know if I have the same muscle anymore. The FOMO that reels create is wild. So I lock my Instagram, practice long-format books, one-hour podcasts and deliberately choose boredom. We all could use some rules.”
Meanwhile, Samantha announced the official release date of her next film, Maa Inti Bangaram — it’s set to hit theatres on May 15, 2026 worldwide. The film is being produced by Raj Nidimoru, Samantha herself, and Himank Duvvuru under her banner Tralala Moving Pictures, and it marks another exciting collaboration with director Nandini Reddy, following the duo’s beloved blockbuster Oh! Baby. The announcement came with a poster reveal on Samantha’s social media, where she excitedly told fans to see them in theatres this summer.
Maa Inti Bangaram is described as a rooted, emotional drama that centres on strength, family and courage — stories that resonate deeply with Samantha both as an actor and producer. The cast also includes Gulshan Devaiah in an important role, marking his Telugu debut in the project.
