Excitement has been steadily bubbling up across the South Indian film world, and at the heart of it is none other than Sai Pallavi.
As per Only Kollywood, the actress has once again become a major talking point, with strong whispers suggesting that she is being considered for the lead role in Dhanush’s much-anticipated film, D55, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy.
The very notion of Sai Pallavi joining the project has already generated intense conversations among fans and movie buffs, despite the team's silence and the lack of an official announcement.
Viewers have long hoped for a reunion, and if the casting is confirmed, it will happen. With their innate chemistry and realistic performances, Dhanush and Sai Pallavi, who first appeared together on screen in Maari 2, made an unforgettable impression.
Interest in the working relationship between Rajkumar Periyasamy and Sai Pallavi, who previously worked together on Amaran, has also increased as a result of the rumours.
Their earlier film found both critical and popular success, and many fans are thrilled at the possibility of seeing that creative magic return.

Amid all the industry chatter, Sai Pallavi offered a completely different, more personal glimpse of her life. She shared a touching photograph of herself with her grandparents to mark her recent Kalaimamani honour—a moment clearly close to her heart.
In a heartfelt caption, she wrote: “Kalaimamani is a word that I’ve heard growing up and to be bestowed upon this honour is surreal. Thank you Tamil Nadu Government, Honorable Chief Minister Thiru M.K. Stalin avargal & TN Iyal Isai Nadaga Mandram for this great honour,” adding that she had intentionally waited to post the photo so she could include her “lovelies” in it.
