Rajnikanth's daughter Aishwarya expresses immense gratitude after her dad gets honoured at IFFI 2025, call him 'The Superstar'

Taking to Instagram, Aishwarya posted a long, emotional note celebrating her father’s remarkable milestone and expressing deep gratitude for his journey and legacy.

Filmmaker Aishwarya, daughter of legendary actor Rajinikanth, recently shared a series of heartfelt photos from the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, capturing the emotional pride she felt as her father was honoured for completing 50 extraordinary years in Indian cinema.

Taking to Instagram, Aishwarya posted a long, emotional note celebrating her father’s remarkable milestone and expressing deep gratitude for his journey and legacy.

Her caption read, "Heart full of gratitude in silence and celebrating my dearest Appa “THE SUPERSTAR” on his milestone 50 ! Standing there with HIM along with my unwavering team and my two rocks and my family, made everything make sense. It was truly COMPLETE. #thankful to god every single day ..#grateful to all his fans and well wishers and #prayerful for only positivity all around always."

Rajinikanth received the honour at the closing ceremony of the 56th IFFI, and while reflecting on his five decades in the industry, the 74-year-old icon shared that his long film journey felt surprisingly short. He added that if he had “100 more lives,” he would still choose to be born as an actor — and as Rajinikanth.

His arrival in Goa was met with warmth and admiration, with hotel staff and fans welcoming him with immense love. The superstar later walked the event carpet joined by his entire family — wife Latha Rajinikanth, daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya, son-in-law Vishagan Vanangamudi, and grandchildren Linga, Ved Krishna, and Veer Rajinikanth Vanangamudi — making the moment even more special.

A particularly heart-stealing moment came from the appearance of his grandson Yatra, Aishwarya and Dhanush’s elder son, who garnered significant attention online as he attended the event to support his grandfather. Dressed in an all-black outfit, Yatra quickly became a social media sensation, with fans pointing out how much he resembles both Dhanush and Rajinikanth.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is gearing up for his highly anticipated next film, Thalaivar 173, adding yet another exciting chapter to his legendary career.
