The latest Telugu film K Ramp, starring Kiran Abbavaram, was released on October 18, 2025. Following its release, the early shows received mixed reactions from audiences, with viewers sharing a range of opinions on social media.
In the film, Kiran Abbavaram portrays Kumar, a spoiled and careless young man who performs poorly in the EAMCET exams. To secure his admission into an engineering college in Kerala, his wealthy father pays a large donation, allowing Kumar to attend the college along with his friend.
During his time there, he encounters Joy Mercy (played by Yukti), who saves him from a potentially dangerous accident. Their initial friendship gradually develops into love. However, Mercy suffers from PTSD and has difficulty trusting people, particularly those who lie to her, which adds complexity to their relationship.
While some viewers appreciated Kiran Abbavaram’s performance and noted his convincing portrayal of Kumar, many others criticised the film for its "cringe humour" and "flat writing," highlighting that the script failed to engage audiences consistently. Overall, the film has sparked a range of reactions, with fans divided over its story, character development, and execution.
Taking to X, many fans shared their reviews of the film. A user wrote, "#KRamp A Silly, Outdated Film that’s Over the Top from Start to Finish! The film follows a very simple story with a routine to the core screenplay that we’ve seen countless times before. This might have worked for a genre that aims purely to entertain, but here the comedy and entertainment quotient go completely overboard, crossing into the cringe zone and feeling outright silly. Rating: 2/5."

Another review called it a 'descent entertainer'.
"Done with my show, good 2nd half followed..!! Disorder characterization scenes comedy worked in parts. Kumar abbavaram steals the show from scene 1 except during father sentiment. Climax is just good. Overall a decent entertainer. 2.5/5 #KRamp."

One user also labeled the film as dull and poorly directed.
"#KRamp is outrightly outdated and painfully dull, filled with weak characterizations, overdone performances, and flat writing. Even the emotional core feels undercooked due to weak direction and uneven tone. Except for the Father-Son emotion, which is okay-decent, and hardly two fun moments in the second half, nothing really works. Overall, #KRamp is a tiresome watch."
