Rajinikanth's Coolie all set for a huge opening, beats Vijay's Leo in North America Premiere sales

Coolie is getting a lot of great feedback before its August 13 premiere in North America.

As the movie Coolie, which stars Rajinikanth, gets ready for its big international premiere on August 14, 2025, the hype around it is at an all-time high.

The movie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is already smashing records before it even comes out in theaters, thanks to its star-studded cast, which includes Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Shruti Haasan, and others.

According to 'Venky Box Office' tracking statistics, the movie has already made more than $900,000 in ticket sales, with almost 35,000 tickets sold--10 days before it comes out. In the same amount of time, Thalapathy Vijay's Leo sold just under 30,000 tickets and made USD 670,000.

This means that Coolie had 25% more advance sales. Experts in the industry think that the movie will easily make more than $1 million in advance sales, and that it will make more than $3 million on its first day, including premieres. This performance shows that Rajinikanth is making a big comeback at the North American box office, where his popularity had dropped a bit in recent years.

Kabali is quite popular. People who work in the industry say that the hype around Coolie before it comes out is similar to the buzz behind Rajinikanth's 2016 hit Kabali.
