Coolie is performing well at the box office with respect to collections, but has received mixed feedback from the critics and the audience. Unlike his previous films, Rajinikanth, the superstar, looks classy, stylish and with a nice hair makeover. Who gets the credit? Aalim Hakim, the son of the famed hairdresser Hakim, came up with the famous haircut that makes Rajini's character look distinct in the movie.
A Legacy Continues
Aalim Hakim wrote a touching Instagram post that said, "Hair & Beard Design for One & Only Sir RAJINIKANTH ... in Coolie." This nod shows that Rajinikanth is still charming and that the team worked together in fresh ways to make that picture.
Aalim talked about the procedure in a few earlier posts on social media, saying that "it's a pure joy to cut and style our Thala's hair" and thanking Rajini for letting him take images of himself. These behind-the-scenes pictures show how pleasant and polite everyone is on set, which adds a personal touch to the film's beauty.
Styling That Stands Out
Hakim Aalim's inputs to the look and makeover of Rajinikanth in Coolie seem to have added value to the film for sure. Rajinikanth looks different and a little stylish when compared to his previous looks in Jailer and Vettaiyan.
Aalim's change has an apparent meaning and a hidden meaning. Rajinikanth looks a lot like he did in Kaala (2018), with grey hair and a beard that makes him seem respectable. This adds depth and interest to Deva's character in Why It Matters.
