Pushpa 2 composer Devi Sri Prasad along with the lead pair Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and actress Sreeleela was seen at the the movie's promotional event in Chennai on Sunday night.
At the event, DSP as he is fondly known as by his fans, spoke about his controversy with the film's producers. While addressing the huge gathering at the event, DSP said that the producers have more complaints than love for him.
Devi Sri Prasad called out Pushpa 2 - Naveen Yerneni, Mohan Cherukuri and Ravi Shankar - and publically addressed the controversy surrounding him.
It was reported that the producers were not happy with the film's background score and it forced th trio to scout for other music directors.
Devi Sri Prasad addressed the crowd in Tamil but some fans asked him to speak in Telugu to that he said: "My dear brothers, whatever you're doing is right. If we want anything, we need to ask and get it. If you don't ask, they won't give - whether it's the payment from producers or the credit on screen."
He further also spoke about producer Ravi Shankar and said, "Ravi sir, you've been blaming me saying that I didn't deliver the song or the background score on time. I know you love me. Where there is love, there are complaints as well. But, I think you have more complaints about me than love. Even now, I came to the venue 20-25 minutes ago. They asked me to wait to make an entry for the camera. I am shy. I am shameless only when I'm on stage. Off-stage, I'm the shyest person you can meet. I could hear the song Kissik being played, so I came running. As soon as I arrived, you said, 'Wrong timing, sir. You're late'. What can I do? If I had to address these separately, there's no kick. I am always open."
With DSP openly talking about the feud at a public event raised eyebrows.
It was recently revealed that DSP will compose the songs for Pushpa 2, while SS Thaman, Sam CS and Ajaneesh Loknath will score the background music.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is written and directed by Sukumar and is going to release on December 5. Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil reprise their roles in the second part. The first part released in 2021 and was a superhit. It also won Allu Arjun, Best Actor National Award.
