Renowned filmmaker Prashanth Neel recently discussed his work with Hombale Films and its innovative producer Vijay Kiragandur, lauding the trust and freedom they provide for artists.

“He’s never afraid to dream big and more importantly, he gives you full freedom to explore that dream,” Neel remarked, highlighting the supportive environment that has helped shape some of Indian cinema’s most iconic blockbusters.

One of India's most renowned directors, Prashanth Neel has directed such blockbusters as Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire and KGF: Chapters 1 and 2.

Kannada cinema has been transformed and elevated to a national and international level thanks in large part to his close collaboration with Hombale Films. According to the director, the production company has transformed the business by making equal investments in people, concepts, and motion picture projects.

Speaking about Hombale Films in a recent interview, Neel stated, “Hombale has changed the game for Kannada cinema in every sense. Before K.G.F., our films rarely got attention outside Karnataka. But after that, the way people looked at Kannada films completely shifted.”

He added that the studio’s commitment to nurturing young talent has inspired a new generation of filmmakers to dream ambitiously. “Today, many young talents in Karnataka feel inspired and confident to think big. Hombale made that possible.”

Prashanth Neel, a trailblazer of the Pan-Indian film movement, has revolutionised the cinematic experience with his dramatic narratives and impressive visual effects. His creations, especially the KGF franchise, have broken box office records and established new benchmarks for both critical and commercial success.

Known for producing blockbuster Pan-India films that blend elite talent, state-of-the-art technical know-how, gripping stories, and stirring background music, Hombale Films has emerged as a major force in Indian cinema. Their dedication to excellence and innovation is demonstrated by films such as Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, Kantara, and KGF: Chapters 1 & 2.

The KGF franchise, created by Neel and produced by Hombale, is among the highest-grossing in Indian film history, with total earnings exceeding ₹1500 crore. Starring Yash as the charismatic Rocky Bhai, the series has captivated audiences across the country and beyond.

Looking ahead, Hombale Films continues to build on its remarkable legacy with exciting projects lined up, including Kantara: Chapter 1 set to release on 2nd October 2025, and Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam. Furthermore, the studio has recently announced a collaboration with Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan, promising yet another cinematic spectacle in the near future.
