Prabhu Deva's decision to not allow Nayanthara to work in movies post wedding, led to their break up: Report

Nayanthara and Prabhu Deva's relationship was one of the most talked about affairs in the film industry. Although they were dating for a long time and were about to go ahead with their relationship, Prabhu Deva kept three conditions in front of Nayanthara which eventually led to their separation, as per reports.

As per Asianet Tamil, the reason behind Nayanthara and Prabhu Deva’s breakup reportedly stemmed from three major conditions that Prabhu Deva had put forward before their marriage—one of which became the tipping point in their relationship and ultimately led to their separation.

Nayanthara and Prabhu Deva's alleged relationship

The two are said to have grown close during the filming of Villu, which sparked widespread speculation and rumours about their equation. Although they initially kept their relationship under wraps, the secrecy didn’t last long, as they were soon seen attending public events together, further fuelling media attention.

As their relationship grew more serious, Prabhu Deva made a life-altering decision by divorcing his first wife, Ramlath, in order to be with Nayanthara. Demonstrating her deep commitment, Nayanthara was even prepared to convert to Hinduism for him. However, their future together came with three significant conditions set by Prabhu Deva.

Prabhu Deva's three conditions

While Nayanthara agreed to convert and fully respected that his children from his previous marriage would always remain a priority, it was the third condition that caused a major rift.

Prabhu Deva wanted her to quit acting after marriage—a demand that clashed with Nayanthara’s passion and dedication to her flourishing career. Despite several conversations and efforts to find common ground, she ultimately stood her ground, which led to growing tension and eventually, their breakup.

Both of them eventually moved on in their lives and are living a happy live with other partners. While Nayanthara tied the knot with filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, Prabhu Deva found love in doctor Himani Singh.
