Prabhas to wrap up filming for The Raja Saab soon, horror-comedy gears up for Sankranti release

Reports say that Prabhas will finish filming The Raja Saab by October 2025. A source said that production was briefly stopped because of a union strike, but now that the problems have been fixed, the team is back on pace. "There are only a few important situations and three songs left. The goal is to finish them in the following two months. "The shooting schedule has been carefully planned to avoid any more delays, and VFX work is also being done at the same time," the insider said.

The source went on to say, "This is one of the most disciplined schedules Prabhas has taken on in a while." He is working on a lot of different projects, but the team is keen to finish The Raja Saab and Fauji swiftly so that he may spend all of his attention on Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit.

Update on the release date

The movie was supposed to come out on December 5, 2025, but some in the industry now say that the creators are looking at a Sankranti 2026 schedule. A senior distribution official said, "Sankranti is the best time for Prabhas to celebrate." The holiday season will help the movie get off to a good start and stay in theaters for a long time, especially given the movie's size and genre are perfect for holiday moviegoers.
